Who Can Say They Were Engaged On Opening Night? Only Patina Miller

Pippin is a SMASH on Broadway and it didn’t come easy. The new revival of this classic Broadway show stars Patina Miller and she can tell you she’s been working really hard to bring something fresh and different to the stage. Well she’s succeeded and it shows. All of her hard work has doubled her blessings. Patina opened Pippin and in the same night her then boyfriend, David Mars, popped the question. We happened to be standing right there when it all happened. It took a minute to register and when we did we looked over to our friend Ariana Debose (currently Mary Wilson in Motown: The Musical) and told her what was happening, she then gasped and screamed, and THEN it processed to us. It was an amazing moment to witness and we’ve got all the goods on pictures and even a little video of the aftershock. Take a look below.
