#Ham4Bernie? Bernie Sanders Supporter Gets Creative With Hamilton

Hey, Bernie Sanders have you met Tabitha Holbert? You need to, because she’s the creative mind that put together the most genius, creative support video I’ve seen this year. I’m honestly shocked none of the campaigns have maximized on the success of Hamilton by somehow incorporating the musical into a slogan (Harry Truman did it with Shuffle Along!) , but there’s one supporter who is way ahead of the curve. What do you get when you put a bunch of talented people who support Bernie Sanders in a room together in Brooklyn one night? An awesome PSA that should play on a loop in Times Square it’s so good.

Actress/Filmmaker Holbert was inspired after being apart of another PSA ,when she decided she should make her own to the melody of Hamilton. Fast forward a few days later and here we are. The goal of the video was “to support someone whom I believe stands for the same values I have. Moreover, standing up for the same values that created this incredible country we live in… I hope this music video inspires others to rally and vote on Tuesday, and inspires them to create for a cause.”, she says.

The idea is genius, the lyrics are witty, smart and honestly the entire video is well done.  One of my favorite parts is the line “Bernie Sanders we are running to the polls for you/make the revolution now/ together we can change the world.” Even if you aren’t a Bernie supporter, you have to give this video its props, Holbert makes a compelling argument.

Whoever you choose to vote for just make sure that if you are in New York , you get out and vote in the primary election today, do not throw away your shot.
