There’s only one person that can have people pretend to be pregnant and be silly all in the name of love, and that’s Audra McDonald. The #IAmAudra campaign helmed by fellow Shuffle Along co-star Christian Dante White, certainly brought joy to an otherwise unfortunate week of events. (Plug. Go see Shuffle Along before it leaves us prematurely. End Plug.)
It only took moments before submissions came pouring in from people playing the piano while eating a donut, to tap dancing, to eating lots of Popeyes (come on, let’s be real who doesn’t love POPEYES!). Broadway black stars and adoring fans alike participated in the lovefest, and I have to be honest it was tons of fun. Let’s make everyday #IAmAudra day, right?
